This workshop will appeal to those in a leadership role who are concerned about addressing issues of violence and harassment in the workplace. It covers Part III, Section 32 of Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) to address organizational requirements and the duties of workers and supervisors.
Participants will be able to:
- Understand the duties of the worker, the supervisor and the organization in relation to workplace violence and harassment and in relation to domestic violence.
- Understand the requirements for establishing violence and harassment policies
- Understand the requirements for a program supporting the policies
- Understand the requirements for conducting a risk assessment for violence
This workshop uses adult learning techniques to take participants through a unique series of scenarios designed to highlight the essential aspects of Part III, Section 32 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). They will also be invited to participate in a series of discussions and engage in small group work exercises designed to explore and practice the topics covered.
